GET TO KNOW PROFESSIONAL DIESEL & AUTOMOTIVE

Professional Diesel & Automotive is a family-owned and operated auto repair shop serving the Glenwood Springs area since January of 2009. We specialize in diesel repair, diesel diagnostics and diesel service. Our owner, Kevin Jochum, has over 20 years of experience in professional automotive and diesel repair. He started his career working directly for Ford for 12 years, earning Ford Motor Company certifications in diesel diagnostics, engine repair, manual transmission and transaxle repair, electrical, differential and four-wheel drive systems, steering and suspension and brake systems. When he realized that nobody in the Roaring Fork Valley area specialized in diesel repair, Professional Diesel & Automotive was born.

MACS is the leading non-profit trade association for total vehicle climate and thermal management, assisting and training auto service technicians to comply with EPA requirements for certification in refrigerant recovery and recycling to protect the environment.
ASE

UNIVERSAL TECHNICAL INSTITUTE ASE CERTIFICATION

PDA owner, Kevin Jochum, received training and ASE certification directly from the Universal Technical Institute (UTI). ASE certification recognizes us as knowledgeable professionals, so you can rest assured your vehicle is in experienced and competent hands.

WORLDPAC DIAGNOSTIC CERTIFICATION

The WORLDPAC Technical Training Program provides advanced level diagnostic training for independent auto repair technicians. WORLDPAC certification recognizes our ability to completely handle the complexities of properly diagnosing and repairing late model vehicles.

KEVIN JOCHUM

Kevin grew up in the Roaring Fork Valley and graduated from Roaring Fork High School. Starting with Vocational Technology in high school through UTI in Phoenix, he studied automotive and diesel technology. Following school, Kevin began his auto industry career at Glenwood Springs Ford. After 12 years working at Ford, he started Professional Diesel & Automotive, Inc. Over the course of his journey, he has become certified with multiple Ford Diesel Certifications, HVAC, Master ASE (Auto Service Excellence), ATRA (Auto Transmission Rebuilders Association), ADS (Duramax), BG Products, CMC business classes, and DRIVE. Today, Kevin has over two decades of diesel and auto repair experience. Outside the shop, he enjoys spending time with his family, camping, snowmobiling, dirt biking and boating.

JANAE JOCHUM

Janae is the 4th/5th generation of her family in the valley. She graduated from Roaring Fork High School and grew up in the “motor” world, making her familiar with the auto industry. Janae also has over two decades of experience working in business and management. At the shop, Janae is the behind-the-scenes support who writes personal thank you cards to customers, maintains the accounting and marketing, oversees employee productivity and sets the foundation for PDA. When she is not at work, Janae is being mom of two young boys. If she finds time, she likes to ride her motorcycles and be active outdoors.

Misti Myers

Misti has been a Colorado Native living in the Roaring Fork Valley since the early 90’s. Her experience in the automotive industry goes back 20 years, 17 of which were spent working in the parts department at Glenwood Springs Ford Dealership and Columbine Ford Dealership. During all these years she has gained amazing experience by working closely with the customers and the technician’s job costing with utmost efficiency. With that, she has learned the value of getting customer’s vehicles back on the road in the most cost-effective and timely manner. Misti looks forward to providing those same skills at PDA. When Misti is not at work, she can be found helping her husband on his Matco tool truck or working on their funny farm! She loves enjoying the outdoors especially if it is a motorized sport.

JESUS GODINEZ

Jesus (Jesse) is originally from California. He has resided in Glenwood Springs for over 20 years. After graduating from Glenwood Springs High School in 2009 Jesse went on to study at WyoTech. He then began working at Glenwood Springs Ford, a couple other independent shops then to Mountain Chevrolet for almost 8 years. Through his work experience Jesse has gained his diesel certifications through the Chevy dealership and ASE certifications for Diesel, Engine Performance, Electrical, Steering and Suspension, Brakes and Engine repair. We are pleased to have Jesse as a technician at PDA that you can trust. Jesse currently resides in Glenwood Springs with his wife and 3 children. When he is not at work he enjoys spending time with his family, camping, fishing and just loves being outdoors.

DAVID SALGADO

David is originally from California. He has resided in the Roaring Fork Valley for 15 years. After graduating from Glenwood Springs High School in 2014 David went on to study at Lincoln Tech for Automotive Technology and graduated in 2017. He then went on to gain more automotive experience at the VW and Subaru Dealerships earning dealership certifications. We are thrilled to have David as a technician at PDA. David currently resides in Rifle with his 3 dogs. When he is not at work he spends his time playing soccer, wheeling and working on cars.
